Welcome to new CZTs!

We had a wonderful time in New England in February getting to know and working with some wonderful people who are now Certified Zentangle Teachers.

To paraphrase a poet, we all learned that deep within the midst of winter, there is an invincible summer in us all.

You can enjoy a full size of this tiny picture here.

We've added everyone to our Teachers Page so please take a look to find a Certified Zentangle Teacher near you and take a class.

And if you are interested in becoming a Certified Zentangle Teacher, this next article is for you.

October CZT Registration OpensRegistration Form Thumb

Our next Certified Zentangle Teacher (CZT) seminar will be held in Whitinsville, Massachusetts, on October 11 - 14, 2011

To learn more about our CZT program, please see this blog entry. Several newsletters in our newsletter archive provide more information and pictures such as this one and this one, although they reflect earlier dates and prices.

More and more people want to learn about and understand Zentangle's potential. There is a growing need for Certified Zentangle Teachers because someone who has been to CZT training can explain and teach Zentangle's method more completely than someone who hasn't. As simple as Zentangle may appear on its surface, it contains a wonderful depth of benefits just waiting to be shared by someone who has attended seminar.

Zentangle's CZT program also offers an opportunity to create additional income.

Please send in your registration promptly. It will not be surprising for this seminar to fill within days.

Please do not make travel arrangements until you receive a paid receipt. We will process your registration as promptly as possible in the order it is received.

Barb Wells who attended last October's class wrote to us just yesterday:

"I am currently teaching at 2 local scrapbook stores and also teach private and group lessons.  It is so much fun.  Never really thought I would teach when I was there for my certification last October.  I  was just excited to be there and learn from the two of you & be officially CERTIFIED!!!  I came back to FL and have been teaching ever since and love it!!!  Great to do something that is so much fun and get paid for it!!!

"Love you 2 and thank you for your help!"

Thanks so much for the quick turnaround on my Zentangle order.  What a delight to find it on my doorstep as I wasn't expecting it till later this week.  I appreciate all the pencils; I think I will be set for a LONG time with them.

I'm so very happy to have found out about Zentangle.  I can't shut my brain off to meditate and this really puts me in a meditative state without all that mental distraction.  Also, I love that it is in black and white (well, cream).  I have always enjoyed coloring mandalas, but this takes away the anxiety of worrying about color choice.  Now, with the pre-strung tiles, I can concentrate on learning tangles and not worrying about my drawing of strings.  Do I sound like I need something to just put me in a state of be-ing?  :)

Just wanted to let you know I had a one on one class with Bette Beauregard [CZT] in Las Vegas this week. She was a wonderful, very patient and professional instructor. You should be proud to have her teaching.

I've never considered myself an artsy person. Sure, I loved to do crafts. I cross-stitch, crochet and taught myself to quilt. But I wasn't artsy. That was my grandmother. She was an artist. She painted in oils, acrylics, and watercolors. Her art decorated our home and my mother's restaurant (people would ask to buy the painting off the walls). About a year ago, an author whose work I enjoy mentioned on her blog about doing zentangles in her notebook and posted a picture.  Zentangles? What were those? It looked like fun. I immediately Googled the word and discovered your website. I was hooked. I sent links on all of it to my best friend from college who lives on the other side of the country. She was hooked too. For her birthday last March, I bought your kit for her and one for myself. I've gotten so much enjoyment out of spending time playing with it.

Zentangle opened up a whole new creative outlet for me.  [It] inspired me to try art journaling and take up watercolors.  I'm even going to take an acrylics class. My skill level is still pretty rudimentary but I still have fun. I've participated in different art swaps. During March, I did a bookmark swap.  Each participant created two bookmarks and we'll receive two back in exchange. Of course I had to tangle one of my bookmarks.

I just wanted to share my story and a picture of the bookmark. Zentangle has opened up a whole new avenue of creativity for me.

Thank you.

We have a great new tangle in the works. It's taking a bit longer than usual because we're going to release it with a YouTube as we did with betweed.

We think it will be worth the wait!

Remember to visit us at BLOG Zentangle for (almost) daily postings.

Thank you again for sharing in this wonderful adventure!
