Equipping the Church to Handle Money God's Way- October 21

Lighthouse

Date:  Thursday, October 21

Time:  11:30am to 1:30pm

Location:  The Lukens Historic District, 50 South First Avenue, Coatesville

Download the Beacon Fact Sheet

The Bible has the answers to all financial difficulties; it contains more than 2,350 verses dealing with money.  The challenge for the church today is to practically equip people to handle money from God's perspective.

Beacon of Knowledge Ministry's mission is to educate families in the principles of prosperity that will guide their personal contributions to the world, and to help them come to know Christ more intimately.  We offer educational workshops on financial principles while applying scripture to these concepts.

Imagine a congregation of financially faithful people.  What impact could that have on your church, on your community, and on the world?  If that vision excites you as much as it does us, we invite you to take a closer look at church program that has been designed to save lives.  What are your church needs and how we can help you with financial issues affecting your congregation?  Join us for a discussion on how we can better serve our community.

Lunch will be provided.  Although there is no fee, please RSVP as soon as possible as seating is limited.  E-mail BOKTeam@verizon.net or call Emanuele Madanat at 484-354-7914.
Lausanne Movement Cape Town 2010- Oct. 16-25

Cape Town 2010

Leaders of the Lausanne Movement encourage you to be praying for the upcoming Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization, to be held in Cape Town, South Africa.

In the summer of 1974, Billy Graham convened hundreds of Christian leaders from around the world to a congress on world evangelism in Lausanne, Switzerland. It turned out to be an historic meeting and produced the Lausanne Covenant, a declaration "intended to define the necessity, responsibilities and goals of spreading the Gospel." Much to the surprise of the leaders involved, an international movement began which became known as the Lausanne Movement.

That original international gathering was followed with a second Lausanne Congress which took place in Manila in 1989.  One major result was the formation of the Mission America Coalition by the U.S. Lausanne Committee in 1993.

The third major Lausanne international congress is scheduled to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, October 18-24. Only 400 participants from the U.S. have been selected to attend. Although most of you will not be able to attend in person, all of us can be significantly involved online.

The Lausanne Global Conversation (LGC) provides us with the opportunity to be involved in an interactive website (www.lausanne.org/conversation) which is focused on the issues at the cutting edge of missions and world evangelization. The LGC will provide a way for Christians to participate virtually in the Congress by watching video of the Congress sessions and responding with input and ideas. You can create a free account by simply signing up on the website.  Advance papers on a broad series of important topics are available for review now by clicking here.

No matter where you reside, please keep this important world event in your prayers.
