Clear Away Tolerations
June 2010
Aloha,

Tolerations
are those things, projects, activities, obligations, people, and to-do's that you put up with, endure or allow to drain your energy.  Tolerations can be projects on your to-do list that never make it to the top of the priority list.  Tolerations can include commitments or connections you made years ago that no longer fit your life today.  Tolerations may also be things that you still haven't done yet. such as scheduling maintenance for your house, your car, for your pets or for you.

4 step process to clearing away your tolerations:
  1. Write the toleration down (sometimes this is enough)
  2. Decide whether you will DUMP it or DO it
  3. Identify your Next Step (the smallest step you can take)
  4. Check it off when you've completed your Next Step

If you would like a copy of the worksheet I've created to use in clearing away my own tolerations, send me an email at dhucks@dhucks.com.

As you clear away your tolerations you may find it useful to keep in mind the eight ways to living a clutter LESS lifestyle that I shared in the April edition of Tips & Tricks, especially #4.

-- let go of attachments that no longer serve you --

Next month we'll focus on clearing the clutter in your bathroom & linen closet.
