Online Video Training with John Toussaint, M.D.

We are happy to debut a new and innovative online video education opportunity with John Toussaint, M.D., CEO of the ThedaCare Center for Healthcare Value and former CEO of ThedaCare, a leader in the application of lean methods in healthcare.
The event is called "Strategy Deployment: The Key to Leading the Lean Enterprise."
This is a two-part video experience:
- On-demand 30-minute video featuring Dr. Toussaint and other ThedaCare leaders, as they walk you through how the lean management method of "Strategy Deployment" is used at different levels of the organization. This video is available for viewing as often as you would like, at your convenience.
- Live 60-minute video Q&A session with Dr. Toussaint, where he will answer questions that are submitted before or even during the live session. This will take place on February 24 at 11 AM EST.
With your registration fee of $499, you will have access to everything through March 31 for on-demand viewing. If you cannot attend the live event, you can still watch the Q&A with your team, at your convenience. The event is intended to be viewed by a leadership team so you can discuss what you have seen and what you can apply in your organization.

Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit
|
|
We are planning our first Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit, to be held June 9 and 10 in Orlando, Florida. We also plan on offering pre-Summit workshops on June 7 and 8.
This event will be open to the public lean healthcare community. The Summit will feature presentations and detailed learning sessions conducted by members of our Healthcare Value Leaders Network.
More information will be available soon at our Events page. You can sign up there to receive specific notifications about the Summit as more information is released.
Registration will open in March, but go ahead and save the date. We hope to see you there!

Forming our Second and Third Networks
|
Following our November Network planning meeting (as mentioned in our last newsletter), we are finalizing the formation of our second Network. Stay tuned for future announcements about the organizations that will be participating as this new Network commences on April 1. The original Network will continue operating into its second year, which starts in June.
Our model is to have a number of Networks, each of 12 to 15 organizations. These Networks will be linked through our annual Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit and our private online collaboration site, while remaining separate for on-site learning and network events that will be held within each Network.
Based on strong interest, we are expecting to form a third Network that will begin in late 2010. A planning meeting for that Network will be held in conjunction with our Lean Healthcare Transformation Summit in June.
