mSecure Password

Manager

Purpose/Usefulness: Security is a major concern for ANY business, especially when it comes to safeguarding passwords. mSecure Password Manager provides a safe place to store your sensitive passwords by acting as a vault for all of your login information. It keeps your stored data encrypted and locked away. You can also back up your data to mSecure's cloud.

Easier, Faster, Cheaper, Bigger: This will make it easier for you to keep track of all your passwords by having them stored safely and securely right in the palm of your hand. You'll be able to log in faster with the auto-login feature. The price won't break the bank at only $9.99 ($19.95 for PC/MAC)

How to get started:

Mobile Users: Head to your marketplace, search for "mSecure," download and install. Follow the instructions.

PC/MAC Users: Head to

https://msevensoftware.com and choose the program that fits your operating system. They offer a free trial if you're on the fence about buying.

Investment: $9.99 - $19.95

Comparable resources: eWallet

My take on the app: I've used this app many times on my Android based phone and I love it. I still use accounts and passwords from eight years ago and it's difficult keeping track of all of them! Not with this app though. I have all my passwords stored in a safe/secure place so I don't need to worry about anyone getting my information and I've saved a lot of time by using the auto-login feature. I highly recommend this app for everyone.

As advisors, our ultimate measure of success is in helping plan participants to create a successful retirement.

Whether providing an Edu-tainment experience or writing an education policy statement, we can guide participants to a brighter financial future.

In the final of our three part series, we will examine how you can create a repeatable success process to help participants create Paychecks for Life®.

It has come to our attention that some of our emails are being filtered by internet service providers into junk mail folders. Please make sure that you are receiving all our emails by logging into your internet service provider's account and whitelisting our domain name. This will ensure that you receive all our emails. Your 2012 Participant Success Formula Action Plan

Vision Planning for 2012: What advisors need to focus on to achieve greater success, influence and marketing.

Have a Success Formula Mindset: Start thinking in terms of how you can create a repeatable system of success for plan participants.

Plan Participant Success Formula. How will you assist plan participants in successfully creating a "Paycheck for Life"?

  1. Create an Education Policy Statement. Lay out your Annual Education Service Plan -  your road map for participant education and advice for the next six months.
  2. Create a predictable future. For each plan, schedule your annual, semi-annual, quarterly education meetings and one-on-one meetings 12 months out.
  3. Create an Edu-tainment experience for participants. Develop customized focused education briefings throughout the year that are thoughtful and focused on your audiences' specific needs and interests and educational backgrounds. (e.g. Age 55 and older planning and how to maximize Social Security benefits, etc.) Activate them to save 10 percent - use story telling; entertain them; dare to be disruptive!!
  4. Commit to creating and delivering "gap statements" for 100 percent of your plan participants. Make their future retirement failure real today!
  5. Schedule one-on-one meetings with participants to review gap statements and encourage automatic increases in savings of one, two and three percent to achieve the 10 percent savings goal.
  6. Have the courage to convince your plan sponsor to add automatic features. Auto enrollment, auto QDIA and auto increase to boost savings success.

The Results Are in: Charlie's Year 1 Program Scores

4.6 out of 5.0!

After each 401k Coach Program, such as Boot Camp, Year 1, Year 2 and Master's, we ask the attendees to rate each section of our event on both content and delivery. We are always interested in feedback. The Year 1 Program results from Sessions 1 and 2 are in and the program scored 4.6 out of 5.0!

Attendees found all of the sessions helpful, but a few in particular stood out from the rest. The 401k Coach Retirement Plan SolutionTM teaches a six-step process to define the attendees' unique value proposition. The 5500 & BeyondTM session demonstrates how to use the Form 5500 as a strategic marketing tool. The Fiduciary Shield provides an overview of 404(a) and 404(c) and helps attendees comply with current regulations.

Year 1 offers a variety of other high-rated and beneficial segments to help financial advisors succeed and stand out in the marketplace. These include the Position Marketing SystemTM, the Retirement Plan Optimizer and the Wealthcare ManualTM. We also provide insight into fee disclosure compliance. Included in the price of Year 1 is access to the members-only section of The 401k Coach website, which is filled with many additional tools you can use in building your business.

If you want to take part in this exciting and valuable program, which will catapult your business to the next level, our next Year 1 Program is scheduled for November 29 and 30 in Chicago. Register now, as space is limited!

AdvisorOne Finds Hot (and Cold) Spots for Advisors

AdvisorOne recently reviewed and compiled some helpful data from the U.S. Census Bureau. Their findings include the top 10 wealth zones with the most (and least) advisors; nine metro areas with the highest paid advisors; 10 best U.S. cities for business; the best (and worst) tax states for small businesses; and other interesting information. Some of their discoveries surprised us!

We thought that the top 10 wealth zones with the least advisors list would include mostly small cities without many advisors. However, big cities make up the majority of the list, on which you can find Dallas, Chicago, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston and even San Francisco! There are quite a few big cities on the list of the top 10 wealth zones with the most advisors, too. However, St. Louis, Austin, Atlanta and New York all stand out with some of the lowest households to advisor ratios.

The AdvisorOne list of the top nine metro areas with the highest paid advisors also surprised us. Among the top three, Charlottesville, Va. and New York-White Plains, N.J.-Wayne, N.J. metro areas come in at high hourly rates. The big surprise comes with the top spot on the list: Advisors in the Fayetteville-Springdale-Rogers, Ark. metro area's advisors are paid an average of $67.33 per hour! With one of the lowest cost of living indexes on the list, that number is nothing to sneeze at!

If you're worried about your business' (or your clients' businesses) taxes, you should look at the best and worst states for small business taxes. Among the best are South Dakota, Texas, Nevada and Washington. If you live in Minnesota, New Jersey, New York or California, you are probably not surprised to find those states among the worst for business taxes.

Look at AdvisorOne's interesting findings to see if you're located in an advisor hot (or cold) spot!
