Consultant checked availability of board members; solicited members for agenda items and had follow up discussions with Chairman regarding the agenda. Finally, she also provided a listing of activities for the week to the ILMPO Chairman. |
Task 1.3 Support MPOs in implementing and complying with state and federal laws and regulations regarding planning responsibilities of metropolitan planning organizations.
No time was spent in the month of February for this task. |
Task 1.4 Provide a forum of the sharing of information and best practices across regional lines. Includes website development and coordination of various entities to ILMPO meetings.

Transportation News Briefs were posted to the ILMPO web page after each Constant Contact email blast. The list of emails developed and distributed can be found in Task 1.1 .
Consultant updated the ILMPO Calendar with the Kankakee MPO Technical and Policy Committee meeting schedule for 2012. The new IDOT-ILMPO contract was not effective until February 9 and the last contract expired December 31. Consultant spent time reviewing emails from January 1 through February 9. Finally, time was spent updating the State Legislative and Federal Legislative webpage, and archiving February email blasts under the News and Notices webpage.

Task 2.0 Develop linkages and networks with other related statewide and regional organizations, including developing strategic relationships with key state agency personnel and associations.

Consultant attended the IDOT State Rail Plan meeting in Chicago and the Illiana project public meeting in Matteson. |
Task 2.1 Provide training for MPO staff and member agencies. Include duties related to the Technical Committee Meetings.

Consultant distributed an email blast for the State and Metropolitan Planning Programming training session at the request of FHWA. |
Task 2.2 Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support MPO activities.

Task 2.3 Analyze state and federal legislative and regulatory proposals to determine their impacts on planning jurisdictions of Illinois MPOs. Duties includes researching state statutes and providing legislative update reports.
Total time spent for the month of February is 47 hours. Consultant spent a considerable amount of time reviewing state legislation filed for the month of January and February. Nearly 2000 bills were submitted between these two months. Time was spent researching bills relevant to MPOs. Consultant sent an update to members of bills she was following in Springfield. Consultant also reviewed H.R.#7 for MPO threshold language. State and federal legislative updates were sent to MPOs on February 15 and February 28. |
Task 3.0 Administrative duties to include duties for a fiscal agent, to develop the UWP and provide UWP updates.
Total time spent for the month of February is 5 hours.
Consultant spent time creating detailed invoices in order for UWP monthly reports to be developed at a future date. Time was also spent reviewing dues invoices at the request of Tri-County Regional Planning Commission and reviewing the IDOT - Illinois MPO Advisory Council at the request of the iLMPO Chairman. |
