Coming Soon: New Incentives for Lighting Controls - Act Now

Lighting controls are a major part of California's energy goals. As a result, SCE's Energy Education Center in Irwindale (previously known as the California Technology Application Center, or CTAC) will be offering lighting controls training to help you get ahead of the curve. The first available training--the California Advanced Lighting Controls Training Program (CALCTP)--will be offered over 5 consecutive Fridays in the month of July (starting July 1, ending July 29).

The 50-hour training program combines lecture with hands-on laboratory experience on the proper installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced lighting control system and leads to a final exam to obtain state certification through ICF International (www.icfi.com). Enrollment is limited to State Certified General Electricians.

Just a few added bonuses are:

  • Participating managers take a one-day business development class to learn marketing strategies to get the most out of these new capabilities
  • Graduates gain access to SCE projects reserved for CALCTP contractors
  • When available, graduates may gain access to additional project incentives
  • Training program is offered at NO COST!

Space is limited. Contact Steve Stannard at steven.stannard@sce.com to enroll now.

CALCTP is a statewide initiative aimed at increasing the use of lighting controls in commercial and industrial facilities. SCE's Energy Education Centers (Irwindale and Tulare) provide energy management and energy efficiency solutions to help you and your customers save energy, money, and the environment.
