This special edition of the Contractor Connection E-Newsletter brings you an important update on the On-Bill Financing (OBF) program.

On-Bill Financing (OBF) Program: New Applications Suspended Effective April 15, 2011

Effective April 15, 2011 at 5:00 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time (PDT), the OBF program will no longer accept new applications. The program's suspension of new applications will remain in place until additional OBF funding becomes available.

The $16 million in OBF Program funds are fully subscribed, and $6.3 million in additional applications are Wait-Listed. If new OBF funding becomes available, Wait-Listed applications will be funded first, followed by new OBF applications as they are received and approved for eligibility.

As OBF issued loans are repaid, repayments are accrued and used to fund the next eligible OBF application on its corresponding segment Wait-List (i.e., Small Business customers and Government and Institutional customers).

Program Management is actively working with the California Public Utility Commission (CPUC) to explore alternative sources for additional funding.
