The Big Book of Self Promotion
|

It was great to find so much of my work, including the postcard above, in the newly released Big Book of Self Promotion. There was an entire spread of my postcards, as well as some business cards and spreads from my Little Book of Logos. Send me an e-mail with your snail mail address if you'd like me to send you a packet of postcards, the Little Book of Logos and a couple of biz cards. It's all about self-promotion, baby!

What is the opposite of calligraphy (beautiful writing)? Cacography.
PRONUNCIATION: (kuh-KOG-ruh-fee)
NOUN MEANING: 1. Bad handwriting. 2. Incorrect spelling.
ETYMOLOGY: From caco- (bad), from Greek kakos (bad) + -graphy (writing). From the Indo-European root kakka-/kaka- (to defecate) which also gave us poppycock, cacophony, and cucking stool. Opposites of cacography are calligraphy (beautiful handwriting) and orthography (correct spelling). And related is cacology.
