Authentic Happiness
Doctor Martin Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania has made it his life's work to determine what makes people happy. He has a web site with many measuring instruments so that you can determine how happy you are. One of his suggestions to improve your level of happiness is to say three things you are thankful for each night. This thanksgiving changes your perspective on the day and on the world.
Blessed William Joseph Chaminade could find God everywhere and in everybody. If we did the same we would be able to go to bed each night recalling at least three times we saw God. We would be able to see the Kingdom in our midst, we would be more caring, kind and compassionate and we would be happier.
Not sure? Try it for Lent and let me know the results.
peace and love, aj
