WHAT KIND OF PHOTOS CAN BE SUBMITTED?
The Young Photographers Competition is open to all subject matter and all processes will be accepted --black & white, color, digital, or c-prints.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR THE COMPETITION?
The Young Photographers Competition is open to students in elementary, middle and high school.
WHEN SHOULD I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS? April 29 - May 6, 2009
HOW SHOULD I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS? Please make an 8 x 10" print of your photo(s) or submit a digital version of your photo(s). NOTE: digital submissions MUST be from a high quality scan.
WHERE SHOULD I SUBMIT MY PHOTOS? You have 2 options (see below)Option 1: Deliver your photo(s), entry form and entry fee to Photoworks Studio in Glen Echo Park on Wednesday April 29th, Sunday May 3rd or Wednesday May 6th, between 1:00-7:00 PMOption 2: Mail your photo(s), entry form and entry fee to Young Photographers Competition, Photoworks Studio @ Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD 20812HOW WILL MY PHOTOS BE JUDGED?Acclaimed documentary photographer and Washington Post columnist Frank Van Riper is the juror for the Young Photographers Competition.WHEN WILL I KNOW THAT MY PHOTO IS ACCEPTED? May 11, 2009 via emailWHAT ELSE DO I HAVE TO DO?If your photo is accepted into the juried exhibit, you must frame the print and return it to Photoworks by May 17th, 1:00 - 7:00 PM. All other work should be picked up on May 17th at Photoworks, 1:00 - 7:00 PM.WHAT IS THE ENRY FEE FOR THE COMPETITION?$25.00 for up to three (3) images.
