Cabinet approaches appointment-making process
Each January and February, the Cabinet begins the review process for setting appointments in time for Annual Conference in June. Bishop James Swanson asks the churches and people of Holston to use the season of Epiphany, beginning Jan. 6, to pray for the Holy Spirit's guidance.

Open House on Sunday After lightening started a fire at Red Bank United Methodist Church in June, the Chattanooga church is celebrating its repair and renovation with a public open house on Sunday, Jan. 8, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
