In its 5th year, F.R.O.G. camp is jumping with good ideas
Oakland United Methodist Church has 100 people in average worship attendance. Yet they're hosting 95 to 115 children at a day camp held at Fort Loudon State Park.
How do they do that? Led by the Rev. Steve Yeaney, the church recently received a $2,000 Change for Children grant to support a ministry that could be repeated in other churches.

Wytheville District teens stay busy, stay home to serve own communities Some churches don't have the population or finances to send youth away to Florida or South Carolina for a mission trip. Coordinators in Wytheville District created a way for youth of several churches to come together for a three-day mission trip at Camp Dickenson, Auburn UMC, First Independence UMC, and Flat Rock UMC.
