Rabbi Paulette Posner (pictured above with Rabbi Charles Savenor, Robyn Cimbol, and Sharon Steinberg) concluded a successful five years at METNY's Director of Education this week.  Over her tenure, Rabbi Posner was responsible for implementing and advancing a number of initiatives, including PaRDeS Ya'akov, Hidon HaTorah, Building Our Jewish Home, Religious School for All, Keter Torah and Akiba Award programs.  We thank her for her dedication, her innovation and her persistence.  METNY will miss you!

Update on the United Synagogue/HaYom Strategic Planning Commission

On Monday night, June 28, Rabbi Wernick hosted a webinar, open to United Synagogue lay leaders, staff, and leaders of affiliated kehillot, where he and other members of the strategic planning commission discussed their vision of United Synagogue's future and mapped the beginnings of our path to that future.

Encampment

METNY USY Encampment is Coming Soon!

This year, METNY USY Encampment will be held from Monday, August 23 to Tuesday, August 31.  The cost for Encampment is $579.  Limited scholarships are available.  For a scholarship application, or with other questions, please contact the METNY office at [email protected].
 
Over 432 USYers and Kadimaniks are already signed up!! (20 more than last year's total!) We have room (but spaces are filling up) for your synagogue's youth, your kids and grandchildren. It is a week replete with meaningful Jewish experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
