What is the Fairfax Volleyball Club?

The Fairfax Volleyball Club was founded in 1979 to serve the Northern Virginia volleyball community by coordinating year-round indoor adult recreational league play.  In addition to coordinating indoor leagues, which play at the Virginia Volleyball Center, the Dulles Sportsplex and Fairfax County schools, the club also coordinates outdoor grass tournaments each summer.  To learn more about the FVC as well as its leagues and tournaments, please visit the FVC website.

Corporate League
The Corporate League on Tuesdays:
Work Hard, Play Hard Together

Starting this Fall, FVC is pleased to offer a Corporate League on Tuesday nights at the Virginia Volleyball Center in Sterling.  This is a great opportunity for businesses to sponsor employees for a fun, stress-relieving and team building activity.  Click here for a flyer with more info.

Teams that sign up for this league will receive:
  • Eight weeks of league play + one week of playoffs
  • A bonus scrimmage night on Tuesday, September 6 to help get your team into the swing of things.  Two coaches will be on hand to review basic skills and game rules.
  • Free admittance for all registered team members to FVC's skills clinic on Wednesday, September 14 conducted by the head coach of George Mason University's men's volleyball team.  (Registration for this event is $20 per player, so this is a savings of $120 for your team!)

It's Back!  Reverse Coed League on Thursdays

Due to popular demand, the Reverse Coed BB league is returning to the Virginia Volleyball Center on Thursdays!

What is reverse coed?

  • The net is set to women's height.
  • Only women may attack and defend at the net.  Men must hit from behind the 10 foot line.

Already on a coed team?  Sign up for reverse coed too!  You need a minimum of three guys AND three girls to form a reverse coed team.

This format is great for ladies who usually are "stuck" setting or playing back-row defense.  And it's great for men because they have an opportunity to work on setting and other skills they ordinarily might not focus on.

BONUS!  Reverse Coed BB team members will have exclusive access to one court dedicated to the reverse coed format during the Thursday, September 8 open gym at the Virginia Volleyball Center.
