What is the Fairfax Volleyball Club?

The Fairfax Volleyball Club was founded in 1979 to serve the Northern Virginia volleyball community by coordinating year-round indoor adult recreational league play.  In addition to coordinating indoor leagues, which play at the Virginia Volleyball Center, the Dulles Sportsplex and Fairfax County schools, the club also coordinates outdoor grass tournaments each summer.  To learn more about the FVC as well as its leagues and tournaments, please visit the FVC website.

The Corporate Volleyball League:
New Starting This Fall!

Starting this Fall, Fairfax Volleyball Club (FVC) will offer a Corporate League on Tuesday nights at the Virginia Volleyball Center (located at the intersection of West Church Road and Cascades Parkway just off Rte. 28 in Sterling).

What do you need to form a team for the Corporate League?
  • At least three male players + at least three female players
  • A strong desire to have fun while getting some exercise and releasing stress!

Can You Dig It?
  • The cost per team is $390 and includes:
    • Eight weeks of league play + one week of playoffs
    • A bonus night of league play at the Virginia Volleyball Center from 7-11 p.m. on Tuesday, September 6 to help get your team into the swing of things.  Two coaches will be on hand to review basic skills and game rules.
    • Free admittance for all registered team members to FVC's skills clinic at the Virginia Volleyball Center from 7-11 p.m. on Wednesday, September 14.  The clinic will be conducted by the head coach of George Mason University's men's volleyball team as well as members of the GMU men's volleyball team.  (Corporate team members will need to register and pay for the clinic -- but the clinic fee will be refunded within one week of the clinic.) Registration for this event is $20 per player, so this is a savings of $120 for your team!
  • Matches will consist of three games to 25 points.
  • Matches will begin at 7 p.m., 8 p.m. or 9 p.m.

What About the Benjamins?

Your company may be willing to sponsor your team because:

  • This is a great team-building activity.
  • The registration fee may be a tax write-off.
  • It's a great way for your company to gain exposure in a new setting. (Think t-shirts with corporate logos and website addresses).

What's the Registration 4-1-1?

  • Registration opens on Monday, August 8.
  • The early registration deadline is Monday, August 22 and teams are encouraged to register by then because registrations are accepted on a first-come, first served basis.  When new leagues are introduced, the demand is usually high -- so register early to ensure your team's spot.
  • The last day you may register a team for the Fall session is Monday, August 29.  After August 22, a $25 late fee applies.
