Fleetwood's Fixture Park "Best in Show" at GlobalShop Ribbons Attract Flocks of Visitors
Less than three weeks prior to GlobalShop, the marketing teams of Fleetwood, Portland Color and Transformit met to develop Fleetwood's overhead identity signage for GlobalShop 2009. The results of that meeting emerged at GlobalShop: a whimsical trio of ribbons, frozen in time while spinning overhead.

DDI (Display and Design Ideas) said, "Fleetwood Fixtures has
been selected as the Best in Show booth winner for GlobalShop 2009 by
the editors of DDI
magazine. Fleetwood created a park-like setting for its exhibit space,
complete with birds perched atop the booth and grass-like carpeting
underfoot." Visitors were invited to sit on a park bench and have a hot dog.
The Ribbons were intended to mirror the park's pathways, and to
carry upward the graphic themes of the booth's perimeter displays and of the
central Kaleidoscope shop prototype. Graphics for this display were suspended from the superstructure of the Ribbons and anchored to the fixture below.

Our collaboration with Fleetwood and Portland Color was entirely enjoyable, supportive, productive, and a wee bit stressful. Thanks to all involved!
The Ribbons have returned to Maine and await their next outing. We are developing them for future inclusion in our catalog and rental program. We'd love to have input from other designers, so please ask for the CAD model, and show us what you can imagine with Ribbons! Visit Fleetwood

Natura Rental Graphics at Memorial Hospital "Doctors' Day" Event Produced and Installed by Support Staff
Each year the staff at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, Mississippi,
honor their doctors with a luncheon called Doctors' Day. Seventy-eight
doctors feasted on lobster, prime rib, smoked duck, lamb, and fried
alligator! No speeches, no martinis, just good food, and a thank-you visit from
the hospital's CEO and upper management.
The theme was "Grass and Glass". Table centerpieces were clear glass vases showing grass grown especially for the occasion. Walls were Riffs and Lyrics rented from our Fascinating Rhythms collection. The graphic "skins" were also rented from our new Natura collection of printed graphic skins. The pattern chosen is appropriately named Grassly.
The well-dressed installation team is pictured below. On normal days, they all work in Medical Staff Services at the hospital. These pieces ship compactly and are easily set up by
non-specialists who can read and follow directions. Pretty green, in
both the literal and figurative sense!

Natura graphic skins fit on frames from our Fascinating Rhythms collection and are available for rent or purchase. Shown below is Riff, a simple s-shaped wall, with six different images. Each image is also available on seven additional unique shapes that complement Riff and each other.

Fashion Place: Art That Makes Us Feel Better Mulvanny G2 Architecture Chooses Transformit for Technical Art Installation In Utah, sharp, bright sunlight is a daily event. Interiors often
need to be visually softened to relieve the eyes. Mulvanny G2 looked to
Transformit to make these day-lighting and light-diffusing elements
effective, beautiful and durable.
Fashion Place, Murray, Utah (permanent installation) Design: Mulvanny G2 Architecture, Bellevue, WA
Two fabrics were used in the project: a very light, transparent mesh
printed with a subtle leaf pattern, and, in the areas of maximum
exposure to sunlight, Tenara fabric from W L Gore, which protects the mesh fabric from UV, and may be the most durable architectural fabric in existence.

In the daytime, the installed pieces serve to diffuse and distribute sunlight in the mall's public spaces, saving energy and softening the great contrast between light and shadow. At night, lights above the fabric elements cause them to glow warmly on those below.
