July Survey Results
In honor of heart transplant recipient Kelly Perkin's climb of Yosemite's Half Dome we tested your Organ Donor Knowledge just in case you didn't know that intestines and heart valves could be donated. Well, now we know and we would like to thank you. For those who played we drew names and got a winner who claimed a $50 gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.

Organ Donor Knowledge answers!
1. There are almost 100,000 people nationwide currently in need of life-saving organ transplants.
2. All these can be donated: heart, kidneys, lungs, pancreas, liver, intestines, corneas, skin, tendons, bone, and heart valves.
3. Its true that skin, tendons and bone can be donated
4. Every 12 minutes someone is put on the national waiting list
5. Indicating on your drivers license that you are an organ donor is sometimes not enough, some states require family consent, so let your family know your wishes.
