Greetings!
It's hard to believe that we are already finished with our first quarter of school. Earlier this year a teacher asked her students, "What is the hardest word you know how to spell?" Answers included perpendicular, humanitarian, commandments, extracurricular and personification. When asked, "What is the meaning of the longest word you know?"
One student answered onomatopoeia: when the word you say is the sound. Another answered hypothyroidism: a disease that causes your thyroid to be under active. And yet another answered prestidigitation: a set of magic techniques used by magicians.
With magical mission moments like these, we're off to a strong start. |

 Marian is proud to introduce a new culinary arts class offered as part of the Enrichment Program. Girls will learn the importance of nutrition, healthy eating and basic cooking techniques. |

 Congratulations to two MMS Graduates who were honored by their respective high schools. Courtney Mayfield was named Mission Model at Incarnate Word Academy and Jere Savage was named Student of the Month at Cardinal Ritter College Prep.
