| Letting Love In - Part 2 |
I want to expand upon letting love in, as my last writings have raised questions about healing from unfulfilling relationships. By unfulfilling I mean relationships that did not have the outcome one partner invested in. This partner usually suffers defeat in love, which manifests as a brick wall to letting love in again.
When you truly surrender to love, the love that exists is tremendous. This love exists in you, and only you can "lose" it through your choice in having guilt or shame about loving. Until you choose to be free from guilt or shame in loving another who may not have been the "right" one for you, an internal brick wall will keep that expansive love feeling from you. Being free from guilt or shame requires letting go of opinions, beliefs, and thoughts about right/wrong or good/bad loving. There truly is no shame in loving another, even if it didn't last. The mistake wasn't in choosing the "wrong" partner, it was in feeling shame or guilt for surrendering to that tremendous love that filled you. Forgive yourself for choosing to believe loving could ever be wrong.
When you surrender to love, even if the relationship is doomed from the start, it's important to understand you have already won the prize. Victory isn't getting the "happy ever after", it's getting the experience of feeling tremendous love. That feeling is the goal. I learned all of this through my own experiences, and know the priceless value of this tremendous love feeling inside me.

| Aligning With Divine Will |  A friend reminded me recently of this saying, "The will of God will never take you where the grace of God will not protect you". This is such a powerful statement, one that I live by and like to remind my clients of, particularly those who have challenges with over-controlling their lives.
When learning to let go and surrender to the will of your higher self, which is the same as the will of God, it is helpful to simply allow the knowing (which we all have inside of us) that you are safe and protected by this will, and that this will leads you to joy and love. Ultimately, you begin to trust in yourself and the Divine more.
While we all have individual life missions, one mission we all share is to love unconditionally. This is one will of God and your higher self, and when you meditate on surrendering to this, you can relax and melt into the inner peace within. |
