STC Activities. Kathryn Nobrega has joined the Communications Committee of the Connecticut River Valley Chapter of ASSE. The Connecticut Valley Chapter is located in the New England Area, Region VIII of ASSE. Current membership consists of over 250 safety, health and environmental professionals, students and associates with approximately 75% in Connecticut and 25% in Massachusetts. The chapter meets monthly from September to June and offers informational and professional development opportunities through technical sessions with CEUs and joint meetings with other organizations. These organizations include The Connecticut Safety Society, The Society for Fire Protection Engineer, American Industrial Hygienists Association, Certified Property Casualty Underwriters, Risk Insurance Management Society, Public Risk Managers Association, and Western MA Safety Councils and other associations related to the safety, health and environmental fields.
