Kathryn J. Nobrega has joined our consulting team as a Senior Program Director located in Amherst, MA. Kathryn has more than twenty years of experience in EHS management and consulting in the corporate, non-profit, and government sectors and will broaden STCs presence in the areas of health and safety compliance and training support.  She specializes in health and safety program development and laboratory safety; international compliance and management systems auditing; and training. Kathryn has extensive experience in developing training programs and launched Genentech corporations' first enterprise-wide EHS learning and knowledge management system.  

As a biosafety specialist, Kathryn served on the Institutional Biosafety Committees of two leading biopharmaceutical companies, and participated on an advisory council to federal OSHA on the compliance directive for bloodborne pathogens in laboratories.  Kathryn has received special recognition from the Department of Energy's Joint and other advisory councils.  In the words of her colleagues at the JGI who gifted her with a DNA sequencer "Your inspirational leadership in fostering a model safety culture at JGI has set the standard."
