Specialty Technical Consultants, Inc. (STC) has received certification as a Women-Owned Business Enterprise (WBE) from the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC, founded in 1997, is the largest U.S. third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. STC obtained this certification (Certificate #2005115942) to meet the needs of clients  who rely on a national certification.  WBENC certification is accepted by more than 700 national corporations, as well as state and local government agencies

By functioning as a certified Women-Owned Business Enterprise, STC is responding to the need that many enterprises have for EHS auditing and compliance services while addressing the shortage of highly qualified minority EHS contractors.

STC has already been certified as a WBE by the Supplier Clearinghouse for the California Public Utilities Commission (Certificate #10AS0062). The company is already certified by the State of California/Port of Oakland as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and by a group of seven agencies in southern California, including the Metropolitan Water District, Port of Long Beach, City of San Diego, Los Angeles Unified School District, and the Minority Business Development Agency.
