This week I've been sharing my luggage carousel revelations (I don't even need mess to get a message J) and I've got yet another one. There are people who are so anxious to get their
luggage (or blessing) that they mistakenly pick up the wrong bag in haste. Well the opposite occurs too. There are people who are so nonchalant that their luggage goes right past them and they don't even realize it. They take their eyes off the belt just as some of us take our eyes off 'the prize.' We have to be attuned to what God is doing in order to receive His instructions and everything that He has for us. There are distractions in life, just as there are distractions at the airport and train stations. And when you have an enemy, distractions are intentionally timed to make you miss your blessing/opportunity.
But God is merciful. Opportunities often come along several times just as I've seen the same luggage go around a carousel several times. We have to be in the right position to receive when the opportunity does come. It doesn't do you any good to see your luggage from across the room; you have to be properly positioned to receive it.
It's easy to think "I will never miss the promises of God, because I've been waiting and watching." The Israelites were waiting and watching for the Messiah, but they didn't recognize Jesus when He came. To receive from God we must be 1. alert, 2. in position, and 3. have a Kingdom mindset in order to see with spiritual eyes. I pray you won't miss the move of God.
