OK, I'll keep praying. I remember when I used to feel confident that it was just a strategy of the enemy when he'd show people failing at what God called me to do, etc. Like when my neighbor moved to Texas and came back disgusted. [Read Thursday's message for elaboration.] But the problem is I really have had trouble in moving to Texas, I just pressed on that's all. It wasn't just a scarecrow; it was reality, a warning.

 

Well I need to pray because I feel like I keep drifting towards the negative.

Ok I was soaking and thinking and no doubt God was speaking and this is what I realized. The enemy is always going to bring you an evil report - that's who he is and that's what he does. I think about Joshua and Caleb and the other 10 spies Moses sent out and what happened. The 10 spies talked about the giants in the land and God called it an evil report. But it was the truth, there really were giants in the land, just as there really are giant roaches in Texas. And I examined more carefully what Joshua and Caleb said. They didn't say there were no giants; they didn't say those giants won't bother us because God is with us, nor even that it would be easy. Too often we think if God said it then it will be easy or trouble won't come near us. Joshua and Caleb didn't ignore the reality of the situation; they said we are well able to do it. That's very different. Yes we have a fight ahead of us but if God said we could do it then we can do it. And they were commended for their faith.

God's Beloved, when you receive an assignment from God realize that we are in a spiritual war, and there will be attacks. There are times of great favor and ease but there are also challenges and obstacles to overcome. I pray that no matter what situation you face, no matter how big the giants, no matter how impossible the situation - that you will not receive the evil report. I pray you will dwell on that which is good and worthy of praise. I pray that before you back down or ask God to remove that giant; that you will believe God's report - YOU ARE WELL ABLE TO OVERCOME.
