DOL Launches New Attorney Referral System
At the time when you thought that employing workers couldn't be more complicated, the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor (DOL) has made things a lot easier for employees to pursue wage and hour complaints through civil actions. Thanks to an unprecedented collaboration between the Wage and Hour Division and the American Bar Association Standing Committee on Lawyer Referral and Information Services, the Wage and Hour Division will now connect workers to a local referral service that will, in turn, provide the workers with the access to attorneys. Unfortunately, this does not bode well for employers.
