Spot Image Featured in National Geographic
Spot Image was recently featured in the article entitled "Beyond New York" for the September 2009 issue of National Geographic Magazine.

The article showcases the differences in the New York City area between 1609 and today.

Using a SPOT Scene of Manhattan, National Geographic has created an exciting interactive tool, illustrating the differences between the two eras.

The drawing was held in July and we are excited to announce that John Cutcher, a GIS Specialist with SEMCO ENERGY, is the big winner! We look forward to working with John to find the perfect image within our 20 million image archive to fit his needs.

SPOTMaps California to be Released
 
Spot Image Corporation is pleased to announce SPOTMaps California is now in production and is scheduled to be released later this year.

Highly anticipated, SPOTMaps California is a 2.5 meter, seamless, natural color ortho-mosaic made from data collected primarily in 2008 and 2009. This data will be available to fit any custom AOI, whether a town, county or the entire state. SPOTMaps is a proven high-resolution base map that compliments current very high resolution data sets.

In addition, we already have SPOTMaps available for several states, including Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, Louisiana, Georgia, and more than 70 countries worldwide.
