Living now is unlike any other time. If you are like most people, you have more questions than answers, and you wonder more about what's coming next.
The following are five key themes associated with being alive during 2012. Each applies to you personally while also relating to humanity as a whole. These universal themes impact people at all stages of spiritual growth. The effect may be experienced consciously or unconsciously, depending upon how awake a person is to what's going on.
As you consider the following, invite your inner wisdom to speak to you about what is especially relevant for you right now. Meditate upon that. Bring the ideas into your dream state over the coming days, too, inviting a higher wisdom about your life and optimal next steps.
Five Themes of 2012
(1) Transformation
This is a time of radical transformation of human consciousness, impacting people all over the planet. The shift going on is so big that even the most advanced person will have challenges remaining calm and centered. If you regularly remind yourself of this, it will be easier to cope.
Challenged you may be, but weak you are not. Your inner voice is helping you to become more aware of your unique role in the shift, and as that occurs, your priorities change.
You know that you must take actions to see the changes you want. You are not a mere bystander, complaining about the chaos and commenting on how strange things are. You know that you are alive to do more than that - so your calling is different.
This means that you will likely experience things differently - after all, you are out front, taking responsibility for what happens in your life and in the planet's future.
(2) Change
Transformation means change, and you are going to have lots of it. This will include changes you want, changes you might not want, changes you see coming, and changes that catch you by surprise.
To live now requires that you develop a new relationship with change. You naturally like the comfort of knowing what's happening next and being in familiar territory.
To be skillful living now, however, means you must trade in your comfort cushion and discover the courage to ride the dragon of change. You live, after all, in 2012 - year of the dragon! It is a year with the potential of auspicious new beginnings, dramatic upheavals of the status quo, and fiery catalysts for change on a massive scale.
(3) Awakening
Humanity's awakening, under way for decades, is gaining momentum and 2012 will be a peak year, opening the way for even more waking up in the next few years.
Some people you know - not yet interested in anything spiritual or metaphysical - will begin to ask you questions during these times. They will ask you because your very presence will be broadcasting the new energies. They will want to know about what's going on and how it relates to them.
(4) Time
Time is beginning to mean something quite different to those alive now. No previous generation had this experience.
What's going on? Some of the changing perceptions of time stem from the acceleration in time. The shift in time perception is also about consciousness.
Humanity is becoming increasingly aware of itself waking up and knowing that the time is short to figure out the multitude of dilemmas. Therefore, the perspective of time is shifting. People are putting more of an effort into things that they otherwise might have waited on. Previously, there was a tendency to think that there was plenty of time to solve problems and to reconfigure the unworkable. Now there's more urgency. People have knowingness, as though deep in their bones without thought, that they must change in order to thrive and survive.
During the next several years, key planetary alignments will add to the intensity of things - catalyzing forces of revolution and evolution in a grand way. The energies will be a potent catalyst for positive changes in all aspects of society, including a return to the heart and a heart-centered way of being. As part of the evolutionary process, humans can be transformed into a higher form that embraces the divine feminine and holds a balance between the male and female. Humanity then will embody the remedy for healing the Earth's wars, meanness, and greed.
(5) Relationships
Relationships always were the bond and catalyst for your changes, growth, and thriving. You naturally learned from them, even if it took you a long time - and often a long string of relationships - to grasp some lessons.
Now, however, relationships can and do teach you in an accelerated way. Each one is a precious opportunity, helping you to develop more self-love and to step into your true power to consciously create from love. Indeed, the relationships of this life are the vital key to your ascension into the higher frequencies.
The challenge during 2012 is to appreciate each and every relationship you have, and each lesson it teaches. It is about learning to respect and value your relationships. You are discovering how to relate to others without fear, how to help in a loving way, and how to connect with your larger world.
The key is remembering the connectedness of all beings, and to come from that perspective rather than focusing on how you are different. When you do this, you open up a window to experience more of the synchronicities that naturally abound from human interactions.
What's Next
What you are learning to do now may seem like a monumental task at times. Know, however, that you are encoded at a DNA level to be at the forefront now - learning new approaches and remembering things you have forgotten.
Take it one step at a time, just like you take one breath at a time. When you have doubts, remind yourself of your divine changemaker role. Not everyone is in that role yet, but you are. Don't worry about where everyone else is on the path - focus on your own steps.
As a divine changemaker, you are mastering how to live in the present, to express power appropriately, and to become conscious of your feelings, thoughts, and actions. Each new skill you master becomes a seed that's planted for others who will follow in your footsteps.
