SoCalBio Forms an Advisory Board to Support Battelle Technology Partnership's Efforts in Generating  a Biocience Industry Growth Strategy for Los Angeles

Second Sight's Retinal Implant -- Argus II -- Will Be Up for Review by the FDA in September
 
The device is the first of its kind in enabling partial vision in patients blinded by retinitis pigmentosa 

 

2ndSight The data presented in the HDE application will be discussed by the advisory panel. If FDA market approval is granted, the Argus II system will become the first ever retinal prosthesis to gain approval in the U.S. The system became the only approved retinal prosthesis anywhere in the world when it received CE Mark approval in Europe last year ..
