Los Angeles County Retains Battelle Technology Partnership Practice to Develop a Biocience Industry Growth Strategy
In a bid to enhance Los Angeles' competitiveness in the bioscience landscape, Los Angeles County retained Battelle Technology Partnership to develop a strategic plan for growing the County's bioscience industry cluster. "We are pleased that we were selected for this project," said Mitch Horowitz (photo right), Vice President and Managing Director, Battelle's Technology Partnership Practice. The IMS Institute for Healthcare Informatics expects the annual global spending on drugs to rise from $956 billion in 2011 to nearly $1.2 trillion in 2016, increasing by an average 3%-6% a year.
