Spring Bike Tour & Ride Across the Mackinac Bridge

The Big Mac Spring  Shoreline Bike tour  was a bit damp but the riders enjoyed the cooler temperature and the challenge.  Kelly reports that the riders count was the same as last year but would have been higher with day of registrations had the weather forecast been better.  We had a good Mackinac Bridge crossing on Sunday with the choice of a day at the Island or the cruise back to Mackinaw City on the Arnold Line Ferry. Registrations are being accepted for the larger Fall tour Sept 18 &19.

Thank you for our event volunteers: Registration: Brenda Beyer, Sue Brandt, Kelly Vieau.  Lunch and hospitality: Ron Gwilt, Judy Most, Norm and Shirley Schneider, Brenda Beyer. Route coordinator: Jack Clear. SAG drivers: Gene Cooley, Greg Brown, Tom Peters, Bob Desy, Ham operators informing the Sag Crew were coordinated through Chuck Brew. Rest Stops: Gussie Williams, Penny McGaffin, and Robert R. Heilman.  Chamber Staff members: Dawn and Kelly, Ambassador Deni Mahlmeister and the cooperation of the Mackinac Bridge Authority .
