OSAP Expands Membership Categories And Benefits: New Categories To Include Professional Practice, Associate and Academic
On December 1, OSAP will be introducing new membership categories and benefits. The overall goal of expanding membership categories and benefits is to help OSAP members improve the world through advocacy and education for infection prevention in oral healthcare. New categories to be introduced include Professional Practice, Associate and Academic.
The Professional Practice category includes any healthcare practice or laboratory that is a solo, partnership or group. A Professional Practice Membership offers up to 10 persons individual log-in registrations for complete member access to the OSAP website. This means that all those in the practice who are most closely associated with infection prevention and safety activities can log-in anywhere/anytime to access pertinent, time-saving resources, answers to time-sensitive questions and numerous other tools and information.
The Associate category is designated for any state/local nonprofit association or individual consultant serving the dental or healthcare profession. Content licensing of some of OSAP's popular publications is one of the key features of this type of membership.
The Academic category encompasses both four year degree granting programs and one, two, or three year degree/certificate granting programs. Academic membership affords the institution with faculty, support staff and library participation through an allocation of "seats" for individual log-in registrations associated with the Academic member's ID number. Four year degree granting programs can have an allocation of up to 25 "seats" (individual email address log-ins). One, two or three-year degree/certificate granting programs can have allocation of up to 10 "seats".

CDC Keeps Division of Oral Health
OSAP supports the decision of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to retain its Division of Oral Health. Officials of the CDC recently advised the American Dental Association (ADA) of this very important decision. The Division of Oral Health had been designated earlier in the year for downgrading by year-end as a branch of another division. Click here to access the ADA News article.
