OSAP Earns 4-year CERP Renewal

OSAP Board member, Cheryl Wolf CDA BS, volunteered last January to help prepare the organization's application for renewal of its Continuing Education Recognition Program (CERP) status through the American Dental Association.  Countless hours of work later, OSAP was awarded a four-year renewal approval for its educational programming through ADA CERP.  Thanks, Cheryl!

Board Welcomes HANSAmed as New Corporate Member

HANSAmed,  a Canadian-based supplier of pain management, infection control, cosmetic & restorative  dental products,  joins OSAP through the recommendation of a former OSAP Board member, Angelo DiClemente. "HANSAmed's quality infection control products and services are perfectly allied with OSAP's mission," said Angelo, who now works with the company.  "We look forward to building a strong partnership with OSAP to ensure the safety of oral care in Canada and throughout the world," he stated.

Other companies that joined OSAP in 2009 include:
Man & Machine, an international provider of leading edge water-resistant computer accessories designed for the cost-effective support of patient safety and infection control in dentistry; and Secure Innovations, a technology company and leading provider of asset management and barcode solutions for dental institutions offering state-of-the-art scanners, printers and barcode products.

The OSAP Board welcomes and thanks these and all OSAP Corporate Members who help support the organization through their membership dues, educational grants and special areas of expertise.

Alliance Offers Additional Member Benefits

Through a new alliance with PennWell Publishing, OSAP members will be able to take OSAP continuing education (CE) courses at www.INEEDCE.com at current member rates and will receive a significant discount for ALL OTHER CE OFFERINGS on the PennWell site!  The alliance also helps OSAP members organize and track their CE through an archived validation system.  Look for details in January.

Still Time to Register for January Infection Control Course (but just barely)

The US Air Force, OSAP, and other Federal Services team up January 11-14 for a terrific four-day train-the-trainer infection control course in Atlanta, GA. Designed to provide a solid foundation of knowledge for those who are responsible for infection control in their duty stations and dental practices, the 27-hour CE course registration deadline is Monday, January 4.
