When you enter the site, click on the "LISTEN LIVE" button and hear us spread some love to everyone out there!
Our guest this evening will be Lydia Curtis of Sadiki Educational Safaris. You will also get to her the exclusive interview that I did with DJ Solo last Saturday on his Island Groove Show as I spoke about Women's History Month.
Sadiki Educational Safaris is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Washington DC.
On March 29 (for 10 days), they will take a small group of high school students from DC Public Schools and Public Charter schools to Accra, Korforidua and Cape Coast, Ghana to deepen their knowledge of African culture. While there, the students will learn Ghanaian songs, and honor their ancestors at the slave dungeons on the coast.
On Friday, March 23, a fundraiser for the trip will be held at RAS Restaurant & Lounge, located at 4809 Georgia Avenue, NW, DC.
For more information and to make a donation to the trip, please email maceda@aol.com.
