Yendi was the first runner up and Jimena Navarette of Mexico won. Since I did not watch the competition, I will not comment on who should have won. Word on the street is that YENDI was the real winner.

Friends,
Peppy and Akilah Karima who celebrated her birthday yesterday  | I have put myself on a 30 day break because I am celebrating the power of the VIRGO. I will be checking in periodically to update you on stuff and you will still get access to hot events, incredible people and PEP, but I am in vacation mode until the end of the Virgo cycle and first day of Fall/Autumn (September 23), so don't expect TOO much (winking).
ADACI's Aza Zhenga makes a presentation to UNIA-ACL's Counsel General, Faruq Muhammad  | This past Saturday, despite being extremely tired, I had a wonderful time at the UNIA-ACL's 53rd International Convention and would like to Senghor Baye El and the UNIA-ACL government for an awesome week-long production! On Saturday, everyone was looking lovely in African attire; the vibes was positive; the theme was self-reliance; and the entertainment provided by Laini Mataka and Heru was awesome! Marcus Garvey would have been so proud of his 9th successor, Senghor Baye El! Click HERE to see Heru's enthralling performance.
If you have not yet seen FELA! on Broadway, please check it out...it is absolutely amazing! Congrats to ERFSC for the successful Ward 7 Job Fair which was held yesterday in NE, DC. My hope is that many from the over 546 who attended will get a job. More importantly, I hope that their spirits are not broken if if they have to keep looking -- it is still pretty hard getting a job these days.
