We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow at Yellowfin. We'll see and hear about the solar array that has been installed on Yellowfin's unique rooftop canopy, pictured above, by Seven Seas Energy.
We're also going to surprise you with something new for making connections ... not that our crowd has any lack of networking skills. We want to make it easier for you to connect with others who share your own "flavor' of interest in the environment ... you'll see.
Our raffle, generously donated by Yellowfin, is a certificate for brunch for four!
The 36-panel solar project, installed by Seven Seas Energy LLC is part of a much larger program involving sustainable energy initiatives throughout the Yellowfin organization. The solar energy array will provide over 10,000 kWh of electricity annually. That's equal to the energy consumed by a typical home in Maryland. We'll be taking over the lower level and weather permitting, out onthe deck. Once again, we'll be spoiled with great appetizers:

Yellowfin is located just south of Annapolis on Route 2. There is plenty of free parking. Carpool if you can.

If you want to be the most popular person at Green Drinks, volunteer to be a greeter! You'll talk with everyone who comes in and orient newcomers to how Green Drinks Annapolis works. Interested? Send Lynne an email.
Don't forget to bring your own name badges from work if you have them. And use recycling bins at the restaurant as appropriate.

Working together, 44 (and growing) partners are implementing the RainScaping Campaign to improve the health of Anne Arundel County's tributaries and the Chesapeake Bay. The campaign highlights pollutants carried to our waterways in stormwater runoff such as sediment, excess nutrients from overuse of fertilizers, pesticides, oils, metals, and other contaminants; as well as the lack of natural filtering processes and infiltration. The RainScaping Campaign promotes a comprehensive approach to easy-to-use solutions to clean up our streams, creeks, rivers, and the Chesapeake Bay.
RainScaping techniques such as rain gardens, native tree and shrub planting, rain barrels, and permeable pavers are proven and widely-accepted "beautiful landscaping techniques" that effectively manage stormwater runoff at the source, while protecting natural resources and providing wildlife habitat. It's Beautiful Solutions to Water Pollution!

Green Drinks is a monthly get-together that gives the environmentally minded a chance to get to know one another in a fun, informal way facilitating connections and working together for a common cause: The Health of the Chesapeake Bay. We are apart of an amazing international group, greendrinks.org, with over 600 like us all around the world. Of course, we think our Annapolis crew is the best!
