Wednesday, July 7, 2010

Hello All,
The one thing I know for sure is that change is constant. So when things do change it's best to just roll with it -- flow downstream as Esther Hicks says.

So I'm flowing, and so is Jenn. As many of you know, Jenn Northington has been with breathe books for about a year now. She has instituted many new programs and systems and I'm so grateful for that. She has also made new friends and created a very special Women's Group, which meets monthly at the store.

When an opportunity arose and caught her eye, I know it was not an easy decision for her to make to leave breathe books, but this is what's happened.

Jenn will be leaving in late August to work for a wonderful independent bookstore in Brooklyn, NY, called WORD. It's a young and vibrant bookshop which hosts lots of great authors and events. Jenn will work mainly on the events there -- something she really thrives on. Please join me in wishing her lots of luck and success in her new job. She will be missed but I also know this is a great opportunity for her to be in New York at the center of the literary world.

This also creates a new opportunity for breathe books to flow. I'm looking to hire one or two part-time people, beginning in early August. If you or someone you know is interested, send an email to [email protected], and I'll send you a job description.

I hope you all enjoyed the July 4th holiday. We spent it on the farm, caring for the huge organic garden, talking to the cows and birds, and taking in the silence. It was so quiet on this side of the Mountain (in Middletown, Maryland), we didn't even hear a single firework! Delightful.

If you are around on Sunday, July 11, and would like to learn more about Ayurvedic cooking, please join us at noon for my class! We'll be cooking up some Pitta-reducing food to help us cool off as well as learning more about this ancient Indian art of self-healing. Call or email to sign up and I'll send directions to my house.

Please see the email below about our upcoming events, including The End of Karma, a Singing Bowl workshop, and a Chakra Clearing class. You can click here, or on the links below, to see the rest of the month and the schedules for our readers and practitioners.

Love to all of you!

Friday, July 16, 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. Key of Life Workshop with Randolph Rogers

We've all used the term coincidence at sometime in our lives. In 1996, former NBC News photojournalist Randy Rogers recognized that coincidences in his own life were becoming just too "coincidental." He kept a detailed account of these synchronicities as he began a search for the truth. The results became the basis for his book The Key of Life, A Metaphysical Investigation. It is a true story about who we are, why we are here and how we are all connected. This workshop will unlock your mind by opening your eyes to the synchronicities in life. Explore past and future lives as Randy uses hypnosis to help you gain access to a higher level of consciousness. Randy is also the president of Telefilm, Inc. a Los Angeles based television production company. His fresh insight into the world of the metaphysical will help guide you on an incredible journey along your own path. See how an ordinary person can experience the extraordinary when they open themselves to the possibilities. www.thekeyoflife.net  Bring a towel, yoga mat, water and light snack. We will take a short break before beginning the regression session. Cost: $20
