| Team Kindred Spirits is off and running for 2010 Paws on Parade!!!!!!
Fall is my favorite time of year, and Paws on Parade is our opportunity to help out the animals at the Bangor Humane Society.
It was about a day that inspired me at the Bangor Humane Society. Its not hard to get inspired there, but its also not hard to get overwhelmed there.
For instance, one of the board members told me just last week that someone dropped off 30 cats. That is someONE.
Of all the things I have done in my life, the volunteer work at BHS is among the most gratifying. That is because very simply, the animals need our help...and they are so freaking cute.
We all get our heartstrings pulled frequently, and I am not here to do that again. I already have to keep my eyes open at all times at my house because that darned commercial with Sarah McLaughlin for the Humane Society of the United States comes on and I find my wife...tears running down her cheeks, with the phone and credit card in hand.
Believe me, you don't want me to sing In the Arms of an Angel (and anyone of you has actually heard me sing is now thinking "You can say that again").
But here is where it gets good. We can make a huge difference in this problem right here in our hometown. 31 of you have signed up already and are singing Angel to your friends.

As of today (September 12th) Team Kindred Spirits has raised $1560.00 for homeless pets. With that, the Humane Society can feed and care for alot of animals...and believe me, they do. If you don't believe me, stop by and watch the compassion of the young people with the animals in their care.
