| I told you tonight was the big night!
First of all let me say that the pictures submitted this year were amazing. I asked you to submit photos that spoke to the relationship that you share with your pet, and that you did.
I gave the judging committee the impossible task of giving me their top 3 choices, keeping in mind that this contest is to crown a winner that will represent a very special relationship. The technical attributes of the picture should take back seat to the story it tells.
Almost 250 pictures later, we had a first place picture, a tie for second and a tie for third. Several members of the committee wrote me very long responses reflecting how agonizing it was to choose just 3 when there were so many breathtaking submissions.
