At our leadership training meeting in November, we discussed developing Mission Action Plans (MAP).  Each group should develop their own MAP, which they will  officially implement beginning on January 1, 2011!  The MAP should outline 3-5 practical (and, preferably, measurable) goals for each of our core values (reaching up, reaching in, and reaching out).  Each group should identify a specific area of the community that they will target for "reaching out".  Every group's MAP will be unique.

Each group should have already begun developing their MAP.  Be sure to include your group members in the development of the plan, so that they will feel a sense of ownership for it.  Please bring your MAP to next month's leadership training.  If you have any questions, please let us know!

2. Bring your life group's Mission Action Plan to be refined and approved.

There is still a LOT of work to be done to help families recover from the devastating losses caused by the flood.  We encourage life groups to continue serving together to help with the rebuilding process.  To volunteer, meet at the old preschool building Mondays through Fridays, any time between 9am and 5pm.  It's also possible to work in the evenings or weekends-- just arrange it with Melissa Thomas ahead of time.
