CT NOFA "Peonies, Wine & Jazz"

Friday, May 20th, 2011 - 6-8 pm 

Cricket Hill Farm, Thomaston, CT 

 

Come and celebrate the height of this year's peony bloom, CT NOFA (The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Connecticut) and renowned Cricket Hill Garden are co-hosting a unique evening party. The dramatic 7 acre, terraced, pond-side gardens will be the site for this special fund event, on behalf of CT NOFA. 

A delicious event for the senses by a great organization!  

See the colorful, spectacular blooms in this special peony garden of about 200 varieties of tree peonies and 30 varieties of herbaceous peonies all in glorious bloom!

Taste local and seasonal hors d 'Oeuvres designed and prepared by Chef Carole Byer-Alcorace of Woodbury's New Morning Store. Both Hopkins Vineyard of Warren, CT and Jones Family Farm of Shelton, CT will serve local wines. The Litchfield Hills Wine Market will host a wine tasting pouring numerous organic and unusual bio-intensive wines.  
 
Hear live music from "The Jake Habegger Jazz Quartet"

There will also be a selection of high-quality botanical art on exhibit by local botanical artist Dorie Petrochko and some very special items will be presented in a silent auction.
