'PROSPERITY' PREACHERS, GREEKS HEAR THE GOSPEL & MORE!

Repent America Reproves 'Prosperity' Preachers
 On June 4th, Repent America (RA) ministered outside of the so-called "Holy Ghost Headquarters Revival Center" in Philadelphia, which had been hosting a month-long series of services that featured a number of prominent speakers, many of which teach false doctrines. "Prophetess" Juanita Bynum, who is known for her highly-publicized divorce to her second husband, "women's empowerment" conferences and lavish lifestyle, had been advertised as speaking that night, and Paula White, "senior pastor" of the multi-million dollar so-called Without Walls International Church, had spoken days earlier.
As the attendees arrived, the ministry engaged in discussion with a number of people and spoke against the false doctrines perpetuated by "prosperity" preachers such as Bynum, and how many pulpits in America facilitate these unBiblical teachers. While Michael Marcavage was preaching in the open air, a man approached him who identified himself as an elder, and told Michael to go elsewhere, stating that Bynum had been disinvited. Although he was not aware that the ministry had sent correspondence with concerns about Bynum a month prior to the center's pastor, Mark A. Hatcher, he expressed that it might have played a role in her cancellation, and advised that another speaker had been scheduled in her place.
Regardless of the cancellation, the ministry continued to preach, and the Lord moved in a number of awesome ways. As Michael was speaking, a man named Jim from a homeless shelter across the street, who had walked out of the service, approached Michael and broke down in tears as he explained that he had been struggling with drug addiction and needed help. Michael spent several minutes ministering to Jim, and then laid hands on and prayed for him. Jim also graciously accepted a Bible and stated that he wanted to study the Scriptures, but had nothing to read at the shelter. Additionally, a videographer who was documenting the event spoke to Michael and expressed his support of the ministry's preaching, and even a few of the security guards that stood outside also stated that they agreed with the message.
 As Michael preached from 1 Peter 4:17, which states that judgment begins at the house of God, and rebuked those that extort money from the poor and needy to facilitate their lavish lifestyles, some began to express hostility. In fact, at the end of the service, one man began to wildly speak jibberish that clearly had nothing to do with the Holy Spirit while pushing and shoving Michael around and into the pastor's Cadillac Escalade, which led to the man being held back by security and others. Ironically, the Escalade, which ranges in price from 60 to 80 thousand dollars, was parked in front of the center across the street from the homeless shelter in the middle of the ghetto.
Sadly, the Word of God is often perverted in America today by false preachers that are driven by materialism. Scripture instructs that men should test the spirits to discern if they are of God. May those that are deceived by the "prosperity gospel" open their eyes to the truth.
"For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God. And if it first begins [with] us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the Gospel of God?" - 1 Peter 4:17
Greeks Hear the Gospel
On May 20th, Repent America preached the Word of God at a Greek festival that was hosted by the so-called St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in a suburb of Philadelphia.
 The Upper Darby Greek Festival, which included alcohol and secular entertainment, was a great opportunity to address those who are trapped in the bondage of religion. However, not everyone received the message of worshiping God in spirit and in truth with gladness. As the ministry was preaching on the public sidewalk outside of the festival, Officer Steven O'Connor from the Upper Darby Police Department approached and kicked down their Scripture sign, which cited 1 Timothy 2:5, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." Not surprisingly, the officer had been recently sued for civil rights violations in the federal case of Washington v. Hanshaw.
Presiding "Priest" Naktarios Cottros, who walked the grounds in a long black robe and was followed by an entourage everywhere he went, also took offense to the preaching and attempted to shut down the evangelists by demanding that police remove them from the area. When they would not do so, he angrily got in the face of one of the men that was speaking and threatened him. Cottros then ordered the people away from the evangelists, and went inside to turn on the "church" bells in an attempt to drown out the preaching.
Despite this and other obstacles, the ministry continued to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ to event-goers at the popular festival. Please pray that those that heard the preaching will turn from dead religion to serve the living God.

Repent America Exposes Stericycle in the Windy City
 The Campaign to Stop Stericycle (CSS), a project of Repent America, visited the Chicago area on May 24th and 25th to speak up for the preborn and speak out against the medical waste giant Stericycle, which collects, transports and incinerates aborted children. Volunteers from 9 states across America - New York, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Illinois, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Texas, Florida and California - came to participate.
On May 24th, CSS set up outside of Stericycle's "Annual Meeting of Stockholders" and distributed its new brochure Where Have All the Children Gone? Others held signs displaying the reality of abortion and a banner that said "Stop Stericycle from its collaboration with the abortion industry." A number of men also preached and spoke against Stericycle's complicity in the abortion holocaust.
Later that day, CSS took to the streets of Stericycle President Mark C. Miller's neighborhood, where they visited nearly 100 homes to speak with area residents and distribute letters and brochures. Unbeknownst to the campaign, one of the neighbors turned out to be Miller's mother, who kindly received the information and stated that she would give a copy to her son.
On May 25th, CSS visited Stericycle's headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois, where it continued to call upon the billion-dollar company to repent of its facilitation of the shedding of innocent blood. CSS was also approached by a principal of a local school, who expressed gratitude for the campaign's presence and work to reprove the medical waste giant.

The conference, which features Pastor Mark Spence and Tony Miano of Living Waters, Jeff Rose of Jeremiah Cry Ministries and Pastor Andrew Rappaport of Striving for Eternity Ministries, is free of charge and is designed to train Christians in public evangelism.
