The Big Event
In our third year, Longwood's Big Event 2011 has a goal of 100 service projects with 1,000 students participating. The event takes place on Saturday, March 26th, and students will arrive at job sites around 10:00 am. Jobs typically include cleaning windows, painting, yard work, or general trash pickup at the location. Once a job request is submitted, Big Event committee members will then contact you to set up a time to meet and survey the site. This is in order to ensure that we know what tools are provided, what needs to be supplied, and that it is a safe working condition. If there is a project you would like for Longwood students to complete, please let us know! Additionally, please understand that we are requesting that job sites are within a 10 mile radius from campus as this event continues to grow exponentially, and transportation for students is limited.
For more information, or to submit a job request, check out our website at www.longwoodbigevent.org , or email us at longwoodbigevent@gmail.com. Members of the Big Event Executive board are more than willing to answer any questions or address concerns. I have also attached a Word document of the Job Request Form. Feel free to either fill it out online and email it to the address above, or mail it to:
Longwood Big Event, 201 High Street Box # 2958, Farmville, VA. 23909
Thank you so much for your time. We look forward to working with you!
