Reminder that this next weekend is the Dallas National Eating Disorder walk. Would love to have you join me out there.Check out validation that dieting does not work, as well as a new recipe I tried for the Easter holiday.
NEDA Walks bring awareness and unite communities around eating disorders to make a positive change. They are also a way to raise funds to support NEDA and our NEDA Network Members like the Elisa Project. (Funds contributed to this walk will support both organizations.)
We encourage you to register to walk. If you can't participate personally, please consider making a donation to support eating disorders education and awareness in your community. We also hope you will tell your friends, family, colleagues and others to register for their nearest NEDA Walk!

Dieting doesn't work...Lifestyle Changes Work! A recent study in the Journal of Health and Social Behavior found that kids who lost weight still saw themselves as overweight and had a poor self esteem. It is important to remember to not focus on weight when trying to get healthy. It is about how you feel, how you are fueling your body and what makes you unique and you. We are not a number on a scale. The number should not tell us how good we feel about ourselves. Unfortunately, so much of our society focuses on what we weigh and if you don't meet a certain number, you need to take drastic measures. Those drastic measures often are not healthy, realistic or sustainable. This is why I do not believe in diets, but lifestyle changes. Diet's do not work! If you are ready for a lifestyle change, give me a call as I can help assist you on a healthier transformation that focuses on self-esteem, improved health and wellness.
I believe "There's always room for ice cream and chocolate!" My practice can assist you in your journey to a healthy relationship with food and balance in your life.
