New Year's Strategies Start the year out right and come up with a plan for improving your health for the year.
Kathyrn's suggested strategies for the new year:
- Shop with a grocery list and watch for sales. Studies show that people who go to the store without a list spend about twice as much.
- Use water as your main beverage (help save on the cost, improves your skin and energy)
- Brown bag your lunches (helps the bottom line and your nutritional intake)
- Develop both short term and long term goals that are reasonable, practical, doable and measureable.
- Stay away from weight as a goal, focus on healthy behaviors, as your weight will get to where it needs to be by focusing on healthier behaviors.
Remember, progress, not perfection is your goal. |

Reflecting on the 2008 year has seen Kathryn help clients set goals and bring these goals to fruition. She has worked with clients to:
Lower blood pressure medication, lose weight, shed inches, and increase awareness on hunger and fullness signals.
Kathryn helped increase comfort around families for the holidays and helped clients make it through the holidays maintaining weight. She was instrumental in getting people to the gym who have never been, created zumba groupie fanatics and assisted a client to complete the Hotter than Hell 100 mile bike race.
On another note, Kathryn worked with clients struggling with anorexia getting their periods back and decreased severity of periods and feelings of fat. She educated counselors, physicians, dietitians and nurses on the many complexities of weight loss. In addition, Uncle Julios requested Kathryn's expertise on healthy options for their menus.
