Welcome to the Merry Month of May.

As far as the simple pleasures in life, for Calgarians, the end of winter has a sweetness that is rarely paralleled. While winter sports are good and fine, the ability to shed our layers, have the world turn green and experience longer sunlit hours, is pure bliss.

Is paved in healthy choices. And the choices really aren't that hard to make. They just take a little helpful information and a smidge of time day and night. Enjoy this month's blog to find some really simple ways to help your feet stay healthy and happy far into your late years.


Happy Feet Tips:

* It is not wise to self-treat corns, calluses or ingrown toe  nails
* Trim nails straight across & emery board any sharp edges
* Keep between your toes dry to ward off possible infection
* Avoid crossing your legs, it limits circulation to your feet
* Make sure your footwear breathes, especially if you are prone to athletes foot.

Hey ladies, this one is for you... Here is a list of ingredients to try and avoid in your nail polish. After all, these ingredients are absorbed from your nail bed into your bloodstream.
  • Toluene
  • Formaldehyde
  • Xylene 
  • DBP (dibutyl phthalate)
  • FD & C colors
If you can't avoid some of these chemicals in the pursuit of your favorite nail color, try to ensure you use a chemical free base coat to create a barrier for your body. You'll be amazed at the colors that are available in healthy nail varnishes. Check out this months blog for sites & color samples.
