The Limited Edition Fire is the third fountain pen in the series 'Achievements of Civilization' and celebrates the art of taming fire.
The pen's most significant motif is the crucible filled with fire. History tells us that our ancestors would wait for lightning to strike so that they could 'catch' the flames and keep the fire alive. Today, fire is just a match away but, to celebrate this achievement of civilization, the bowl of flames is depicted on the clip, the custom-designed nib, and the cap.
The barrel of this exquisite pen is made of brass and lacquered with multiple coats of color to achieve a vivid, exciting red. Every individual flame is first engraved using a laser, then plated with the finest 24-carat gold. Five genuine topaz gemstones are inlaid and make the fire sparks sizzle into life. The nib is made of 18-carat/750 gold and has an iridium grain at the tip. This Limited Edition is available in the nib sizes F, M, and B and is restricted to just 500 writing instruments worldwide.
