This is another idea that continues from the
Tools for Manifesting I posted last month. You can use it for manifesting or changing something else in your life.
I first came to healing work and the spiritual connection I have now by way of Feng Shui. I just met a new friend who came to her healing work and spiritual connection in the same way. I actually did some Feng Shui Consultations, not as a designer, but as someone who recognized good energy flow and not so good. And, I learned a lot about feng shui and how to enhance your life by focusing on your environment. There are many great books on Feng Shui. I think the one that I first read is listed on my
Resources page, Clear Your Clutter With Feng Shui.
When I want to change something in my life, some aspect of business or personal life, I often look around my surroundings at home and see what might affect the change I am seeking. These kinds of things can't change everything, but they can affect it. Lillian Too, another Feng Shui author, says there are three kinds of energy that affects you, personal, karma and your surroundings or your feng shui. So, changing your surroundings can't fix it all but it makes a difference.
Faceted crystals can enhance the energy in the area it relates to and I might move one around to a different area that I want to improve. Or, there are some things, like bamboo or some plants, that represent growth, or even a picture representing growth or uplifting energy, that I might move to stimulate the
energy in certain areas. It does help to know a little about it so you are not creating a conflict in the elements of the area you are working with, but the concepts are pretty easy to understand and fun to use. Denise Linn is another favorite author of mine that I highly recommend.
The most important recommendation is to have a space that makes you feel good and uplifts your energy when you are in it. Have fun with it!
