To Bead True Blue Tucson

Create these
colorful and unique football shaped beads to use in your own jewelry designs.
Use the innovative techniques shared for many other bead designs. Make
coordinating beads from scraps and use together in your own unique jewelry
designs.

"Bling" Ring
Wed 2/3, 9am-12pm $60

Create your
own "bling" ring using metallic polymer clay canes and Swarovski crystals. This
simple technique looks surprisingly complex and striking when finished. Try
different color and design styles to make these rings special!

Klassy Kaleidoscope
Fri 2/5, 9am-12pm $60

Create
amazing kaleidoscope beads to use in your jewelry creations. Combine your
favorite colors of polymer clay to build amazing patterns using millefiori
caning techniques. Learn to use your canes to create many different bead shapes
as well as bead finishing techniques as time permits.

The Tucson Bead Show
Faux Lampworked Metal Core beads

Make some
fun beads to use in many projects. These beads are great for add a bead
components like bead pens, wine toppers, bangle bracelets, and snake chain
bracelets and necklaces. This is a great technique to create a finished hole in
polymer clay beads. Many design options explored for these tiny treasure beads.

Colors gone "Wild"
Sun 2/7, 10am-1pm $60

Make animal print canes to use to make some "wild" beads.
Learn to blend clays to create your choice of animal prints in fashion colors.
Animal prints continue to be a huge fashion trend and what better way to jump
in and make your own. Use your canes to make many different beads, cabochons,
and accessories. Various bead shapes will be taught using the canes made in the
class.

Polymer Clay Party
Friday 2/5, 6-9 pm $10

Come to the
party! Make and take projects with Janet Pitcher, Christi Friesen, Lynne Anne
Schwartzenberg, and Julie Picarello, along with demos from other polymer
clay artists, food and prizes too!

Publications
In the December 2009 Issue of Polymer Cafe, Janet won first place in the Colossal Cane Works contest! This was a great surprise as I usually don't enter contests and forgot that I entered this one. A friend of mine suggested that I should enter this so I did. The elephant was quite a special design and as many of you know he is now extinct, making him even more rare.
