university_at_albany_suny

The Center for Women in Government & Civil Society, Rockefeller College of Public Affairs & Policy, University at Albany, is inviting recommendations of outstanding graduate students and mid-career professionals to the 2013 Fellowship on Women & Public Policy program, which runs from January 2013 - June 2013. If you know an outstanding woman who has completed at least 12 credits of graduate coursework and possesses a minimum of three years work experience, please encourage her to explore this opportunity.

The Fellowship offers a $10,000 stipend and tuition assistance for academic coursework. In the spring semester, fellows are full-time graduate students at Rockefeller College with policy-related field placements for thirty hours a week from January through June. Health plans are available. The program relies heavily on personal referrals in order to continue the tradition of excellence that the Fellowship has enjoyed since its inception in 1983.

Bazelon Center's New Guide on Medicaid Eligibility Expansion

CMHBazelonCenterThe Judge David L. Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law has released a new guide to help advocates, providers and state leaders improve health coverage and mental health services in the states. This publication is rooted in the timeliness of helping state leaders understand the benefits of expanding Medicaid eligibility. States that do opt for the Medicaid expansion will also have to make other critical decisions to ensure people with mental illness have access to the services they need. The guide
addresses these and related issues in depth.
